10 young film directors to get industry support

BEIJING, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Ten young Chinese film directors have been selected to join in a program that offers whole-industry-chain support.

Under the program hosted by the China Film Director's Guild, the young directors will get help in script development, production, financing, publicity and distribution of their first feature films.

The winners presented their short films to potential investors on Tuesday.

Since the launch of the program in November 2018, organizers received nearly 400 applications, and more than half the 30 short-listed candidates have overseas training experiences, according to Xie Fei, president of the current program.
