JERUSAELM, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Italian basketball club Dinamo Sassari claimed a 94-89 road victory over Israeli side Hapoel Holon on Wednesday in the first leg of FIBA's Europe Cup semifinals.
Sassari Rashawn Thomas was named the MVP of the game, contributing 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists. His teammate, Achille Polonara, finished with 17 points and four rebounds.
Corey Walden led the Holon scorers with 26 points, while DeQuan Jones contributed 17 points and seven rebounds.
The second finalist will be Wurzburg of Germany or the Varese of Italy. The Germans, who won the first game in Italy 89-66 on Wednesday, have set one foot into the finals before the second leg at home on April 17th.
