HAIKOU, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Southern China's island province of Hainan has launched an international recruitment database to attract foreign talent to ramp up construction of its pilot free trade zone.
The database, free for both employers and job seekers, is co-founded by tropicalhainan.com, an English website in Hainan, and CamHR Human Resources Consulting (Hainan) Co. Ltd., a Sino-Cambodian joint venture.
As a section of tropicalhainan.com, the database, the first of the kind, offers one-stop services for foreign job seekers and local companies seeking to fill posts ranging from foreign-language teachers to senior hotel managers.
Patrick Quinn, CEO of tropicalhainan.com, said such a platform was needed for Hainan to make it easy for foreigners to find jobs as in more developed cities like Beijing and Shanghai.
The province has highlighted overseas recruitment as part of its plans to attract 200,000 skilled personnel by 2020 and 1 million by 2025 to support the construction of the pilot free trade zone.
