JAKARTA, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia’s Bali is scheduled to resume the Ubud Food Festival (UFF) from April 26 to April 28, aimed at promoting domestic foods and attracting foreign tourists interested in local gourmet.
Given the success of the first UFF last year, Indonesia Tourism Ministry planned to hold the three-day event to explore and display various local foods in the country, taking a theme of Spice up the World this year.
“Through this festival, Indonesia would extensively promote varieties of spice-rich national culinary which would attract foreign tourists interested in spicy foods,” Indonesia Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said.
He added that culinary is part of tourism attraction to lure foreign tourists who are eager to taste foods from the other parts of the world.
The UFF last year has attracted some 15,000 domestic and foreign tourists, gave positive impacts to tourism in the resort island of Bali.
