People visit the Archaeological Park of Pompeii in Italy, April 30, 2019. Pompeii was an ancient Roman city near modern Naples in Italy. It was buried by an eruption of the Vesuvius volcano in 79 A.D.. The city now offers a unique snapshot of Roman life, frozen at the moment it was buried, and provides an extraordinarily detailed insight into the everyday life of its inhabitants.
