MINSK, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The Belarusian gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.4 percent in the first four months this year, the country's National Statistical Committee said on Friday.
The GDP volume in current prices amounted to 39.1 billion rubles (18.82 billion U.S. dollars), or 101.4 percent in comparable prices to the level of January-April 2018, the Committee reported.
The Belarusian economy grew by 3 percent in 2018 and by 2.4 percent in 2017.
The government of Belarus expects the country's GDP growth at a level of 4 percent at the end of 2019.
