BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- "Advance Wave Upon Wave," a film about the Red Army and the revolution, will hit screens across China on June 21.
The movie was adapted from a real story of a mother sending eight sons to the Red Army, who died on the battlefield at the southern part of east China's Jiangxi Province in the autumn of 1934.
A total of 338,000 people from south Jiangxi Province sacrificed their lives for revolution, but only the names of 108,200 are known.
"I hope people can learn more about the sacrifices and contributions that people in revolutionary areas used to make for the People's Republic of China from this movie," said Gao Xixi, director of the movie.
