GUANGZHOU, China, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Fabio Cannavaro said his team Guangzhou Evergrande have to play a "crazy match" against Daegu FC on Wednesday in Group F of the AFC Champions League.
"We must win if we still want to stay in the Champions League. We need some [sort of] crazy performance tomorrow," Cannavaro said at the pre-match press conference here on Tuesday.
Ranking 3rd, the two-time champions must defeat the South Korean side to get the crucial three points needed for the final 16.
"We have to take some risks in attacking, at the same time we must keep a clean sheet," the Italian added.
Guangzhou have to solve the attacking problem without their top scorer Anderson Talisca. The Brazilian will leave the team for a month to get treatment for a left-knee injury.
"The absence of Talisca will be a huge loss to us, but it is time for our younger players to make progress in key matches," Cannavaro said.
