BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese history research institute under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) on Tuesday launched five research centers committed to planning for and promoting Chinese history research.
The research centers focus respectively on the building of the disciplines, academic and discourse systems of Chinese history research, gathering and studying Chinese history documents scattered abroad, oracle bones study, the study of Chinese history knowledge system since modern times as well as a comparative study of Chinese civilization and other ancient civilizations around the world.
Chinese leading history experts will carry out more diversified academic activities under the centers.
The institute was established on January 3.
