KABUL, June 15 (Xinhua) -- An Afghan political expert and analyst on regional affairs has described the Shanghai Spirit, initiated and followed through by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), as a bridge among nations that, if implemented, can ensure regional connectivity as well as global cooperation.
"The Shanghai Spirit is featuring and bolstering mutual trust, mutual benefit, peaceful co-existence, consultation, respecting diverse civilizations and pursuing common development of the nations, which is essential for having a developed and prosperous world," Shamsul Haq Arianfar told Xinhua in an interview.
The expert also branded the SCO as a platform based on justice, equality and mutual trust among the nations, which have a great economic potential.
The SCO has eight member states, four observer states and six dialogue partners.
