GHAZNI, Afghanistan, June 18 (Xinhua) -- At least nine militants including a local commander of the Taliban group were killed during airstrikes conducted by Afghan air forces in Ghazni province, east of Afghanistan on Monday, a local official said on Tuesday.
"Military aircrafts targeted the hideouts of Taliban militants in Andar district of Ghazni province on Monday, killing 9 militants on the spot," Aref Nur, spokesman for provincial governor told Xinhua.
No civilians had been hurt during the raids, the official said.
Taliban militants are yet to make comment on the report.
