CAIRO, July 3 (Xinhua) -- The Arab League (AL) has dispatched a delegation to Sudan on Wednesday to resume efforts for holding dialogue among the conflicting Sudanese parties, said the AL in a statement.
"The visit comes in light of the AL's efforts for reaching an agreement on arrangements for handing over power to a civilian authority in Sudan," spokesman of the AL, Mahmoud Afifi, said.
The AL's delegates will focus on the procedures that should be adopted for running a transitional period, he added.
The Transitional Military Council is tasked with running Sudan's affairs after the ouster of former President Omar al-Bashir in April.
