Photo taken on July 4, 2019 shows the entrance of a homestay lodging in Xiantan Village of Moganshan Town, Deqing County, east China's Zhejiang Province. Homestay lodgings have mushroomed in Moganshan thanks to the government's policy to encourage eco-friendly tourism which welcomes both domestic and international visitors. The local homestay business flourishes as concentrations of accommodation facilities create economies of scale, justifying itself as a path to rural revitalization. In 2018, about 2.1 million among a total of 2.6 million visitors chose private homestays during their trips to Moganshan, while owners earned more than 2 billion yuan (about 300 million U.S. dollars) altogether from the business.
