A group of dama, refering to the legions of usually middle aged women, formed a team of pole dancing in Jilin City, northeast China's Jilin Province in 2016. The team has eight members with an average age of 64. "Pole dancing is known for its softness and strength,"says Jiang Zhijun, the 68-year-old team leader." We started with basic strength training, then went forward to perform high-level moves gradually."
