YAOUNDE, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and nearly 50 residents affected on Thursday as rainstorms touched off flood and landslides in a Western Cameroon village of Fokoue, local authorities said Thursday.
The heavy downpour lasted from July 11 through to 12.
Officials told Xinhua that a search was in progress for more victims.
West region will experience torrential rains throughout July, with precipitation up to 145 mm in certain parts of the region according to weather forecasts. Enditem
