SANAA, July 16 (Xinhua) -- The Saudi-led coalition fighting Houthi rebels in Yemen launched multiple airstrikes on rebel-held positions in the capital Sanaa on Tuesday morning, residents said.
The airstrikes targeted a military college in northern Sanaa and a military camp in the south of the capital.
There were no reports of casualties yet.
The strikes came a day after Saudi Arabia's air defenses intercepted and destroyed two bomb-laden drones launched by Houthi rebels toward Khamis Mushait city in the southwest of the kingdom, according to Saudi state media.
On Tuesday afternoon, the UN envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths arrived in Sanaa to push forward the peace process between Yemen's Saudi-backed government and Iran-allied Houthi rebels.
