MINSK, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei on Monday stressed the importance of the European Union (EU) lifting the remaining sanctions against Belarus.
Meeting with the outgoing head of the EU Delegation to Belarus Andrea Wiktorin, Makei also stressed the importance of the early completion of the harmonization process on the partnership priorities and launching the negotiations on a new framework agreement between Belarus and the EU.
Belarus is ready to continue working together with the EU to enhance political dialogue and mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, the minister said.
The official also hailed Andrea Wiktorin's valuable personal contribution to the process of steady normalization of the Belarus-EU relations.
