Aerial photo taken on Aug. 5, 2019 shows the view of Huanju Village in Qiyunshan Township of Xiuning County, east China's Anhui Province. Wang Xiuyan, a doctor of Department of Endocrinology from the Second Hospital of Anhui Medical University, has been committed to be a village doctor for two years while taking part in a campaign aimed at enhancing the medical treatment level in rural areas. Huanjun Village, where Wang Xiuyan is dedicated to work, has no doctor ever since the only doctor retired in August of 2018. A total of 2,685 villagers here had to see a doctor to the nearest town, which is five kilometers away. As Wang came to the village, the health center of Huanju was opened again. During her first month in Huanju, she specially visited the 25 impoverished households of the village and established their health records. Due to eating habits, some of the villagers are suffering from hypertension and diabetes, which are just the field Wang specializes in. She is taking steps to establish health records for the patients to seek effective treatment within her two years. (Xinhua/Huang Bohan)
