KUNMING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- A corporate network symposium with the theme of "Hong Kong Creativity in Business" kicked off Friday in southwest China's Yunnan Province, with more than 70 enterprises from Yunnan and Hong Kong seeking cooperation and exchanging ideas on brand building, design and marketing.
The Hong Kong representative group is composed of 24 Hong Kong companies and several designers in the fields of brand strategy, creative design, product and package design, interior space design and more.
More than 50 Yunnan-based companies in the tea, flower, food and Chinese herbal medicine industries met with the Hong Kong representatives and discussed room for potential cooperation.
"Yunnan Province boasts bountiful resources. The local enterprises are expected to enter the international market through building a platform for collaboration and their own brand stories," said Brian Ng, Chinese mainland director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
Last year, Yunnan partnered with Hong Kong enterprises on 65 projects, with direct investment from Hong Kong totaling 6.39 billion U.S. dollars.
