SHANGHAI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition of items and manuscripts of Soong Ching Ling opened Wednesday in Shanghai, with more than 400 documents, items and photos on display.
Themed "The Struggle For New China," the exhibition represents Soong's life in retrospect, who was a former honorary president of China and the wife of Chinese revolutionary Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
The exhibition will last until Oct. 15.
The exhibits, including the seals Soong used in fundraising during the anti-Japanese war and the cheongsam Soong gave to her international friends, are collected from six institutions in Beijing and Shanghai.
Born in Shanghai in 1893, Soong Ching Ling died in Beijing on May 29, 1981.
