DUBAI, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Oct. 15, reported the official news agency WAM on Thursday.
Putin is scheduled to hold talks with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces.
The two sides are set to discuss means to strengthen bilateral cooperation across multiple fields as well as a host of regional and international developments of mutual interest, the report said.
Putin's visit to the UAE falls within the framework of the Declaration of Strategic Partnership signed between the UAE and Russia in June 2018, it added.
During Putin's visit, 15 agreements in the fields of nuclear power, oil and environment will be signed, which will open new horizons for joint action in various sectors, the Gulf News reported on Thursday.
