A total of 64 countries and three international organizations have confirmed their participation in the country exhibitions at the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) which will take place from Nov. 5 to 10 in Shanghai.
SHANGHAI, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- A total of 64 countries and three international organizations have confirmed their participation in the country exhibitions at the second China International Import Expo (CIIE).
Covering 30,000 square meters, the exhibitions will showcase the countries' development and achievements in trade and investment.
A China Pavilion will be set up this year to honor the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and demonstrate the economic and social development, as well as opportunities in the new era.
The second CIIE will take place from Nov. 5 to 10 in Shanghai, after which the country exhibitions will be extended for eight more days and open to the public for free from Nov. 13 to 20.
The first CIIE, held from Nov. 5 to 10 in Shanghai last year, was the world's first import-themed national-level expo. ■
