Indian people get water from tap in New Delhi

Days after India's federal government rankings on tap water showed samples taken from the capital city Delhi have failed on all parameters, the local authorities Wednesday said it would collect over 3,000 fresh samples from across the city for quality check. The federal government's consumer affairs ministry last week said 11 drinking water samples drawn from various places in Delhi did not comply with the requirements of the Bureau of Indian Standard and failed on several parameters during testing.
