SARAJEVO, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Some 3,000 boys from 26 European football clubs gathered together at the Second International Valter Cup football tournament in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) capital Sarajevo on Friday.
The boys started playing matches at football camp Butmir, where they will compete and gather experience, Adis Junuzovic, director of Football School "Valter" and an organizer of the tournament, told Xinhua.
Valter Cup 2019 is different than last year in a way that participants of the tournament play in three categories U11, U13 and U15.
Junuzovic explained that some of the big clubs, such as AS Roma and Turkish Istanbul Basaksehir F.K., are new participants of this year's Valter Cup.
He added that Inter Milan participated last year, and this year as well.
This year's tournament ambassador is Miralem Pjanic, player of Juventus and BiH's national football team, who actively participated in the organization and realization of the tournament.
The tournament offers chances for boys to train and compete with their peers from other European clubs.
Junuzovic said that there is a possibility for Valter Cup to be expanded to other continents as well, adding they would be pleased if a football team from China would participate.
The Valter Cup 2019 is running from April 4-7.
