AMMAN, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Two Jordanians held in custody in Syria returned home, Jordan's Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
The two Jordanian citizens, Bassam Shurafat and Bashar Dardour, arrived in Amman after they were released by the Syrian authorities, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Daifallah Fayez said in a statement.
The Jordanian embassy in Syria was continuing contacts with the Syrian government to ensure the release of two other Jordanian citizens who have been under arrest for more than a year, he added.
Since the reopening of the border crossing between Syria and Jordan in October 2018, 30 Jordanians have been arrested by Syria.
