ISLAMABAD, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the suicide attack and shooting at government buildings in Afghanistan's capital Kabul that has resulted in over 40 deaths and injuries to many others.
"We express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the recovery of the injured. Pakistan stands together with the government and people of Afghanistan in this hour of grief," the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In the statement, Pakistan reiterates its solidarity with Afghanistan in their fight against terrorism.
The attack occurred on Monday afternoon when the assailants stormed buildings of the Afghan Ministry of Public Works and nearby newly-formed National Authority for People with Disability and Martyrs' Families.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
